BATHROOM LIGHTING SAFETY

Ensure that when you are planning a new bathroom that you purchase lights specifically designed for use in the bathroom. Lighting must comply with the strict European safety regulations that avoid mixing water
and electricity. We would recommend that you engage a qualified electrician to install any bathroom fittings as they should be familiar with the IEE wiring regulations – 17th edition.

When choosing your lights in the bathroom you need to ensure they have the correct IP rating depending on the zone they are required for. For example: if you require a light in your shower cubicle or bath (Zone 0) the fitting will need to be IP67 or greater. If you require a fitting in Zone 1 or 2 the model will need to be IP44 or greater.

Light switches must be either outside of the bathroom or fitted with a pull chord. All products in this collection are IP44 rated and are suitable for Zones 1 or 2 in the bathroom.
